Suspended Floor System

Polyplumb Under Floor Central Heating can be installed simply between the joists of a suspended floor, either from above or from below. Alternatively Polyplumb UFCH pipes can be laid between battens above the joists. Standard tongue and groove floorboard is laid above the system and any floor covering may be used.

Underfloor Heating

Floating Floor System

Polyplumb Under Floor central Heating may be installed in floating floors above an existing

solid or timber floor. Polyplumb pipe is simply 'pressed in' to the performed heat emitter

plate, which sits in grooves within the floating floor insulation panel. Standard tongue

and groove floorboard is laid above the system and any floor covering may be used.

Suspended Floor System

Solid Floor System

This system is ideal for ground floors in both new build and renovation projects as well as conservatories or extensions with solid floor constructions. The piping is fitted into the floor

panels and covered with screed before finally laying the floor covering on top.

Features & Benefits

  • Lightweight plastic floor panels are quick and easy to cut to size
  • Fit underfloor heating into any shaped room
  • Floor panels form a simple grid to ensure the fastest possible pipe laying
  • Precise guide for the pipe ensures that the minimum pipe bending radius is achieved
  • Includes edging insulation strip to ensure maximum performance and efficiency

If you are renovating an existing building, an over floor system is an ideal solution because it can be laid over the top of an existing floor. The panels will only add a minimal amount of height and can be used with any type of floor covering. The overlay system is only 18mm thick and laid on top of existing flooring. Tiles or wood / laminate flooring can be applied directly over the overlay system. Where carpet is to be used it is recommended that a 4mm plywood cover is used first.

Because of the low profile of the overlay system it will give a similar response time to radiators.

  • Fully patented system
  • Can be retro-fitted into existing rooms, conservatories or extensions
  • Can be used on intermediate floors
  • Can be linked to existing radiator heating system via Polyplumb Zonal Regulation Unit
  • Can be used with a ZRU in rooms up to 25m² coverage, which makes it ideal for any room in the house
  • Can be particularly useful in kitchens and bathrooms where wall space is limited or in rooms where clean lines are required
  • Perfect for conservatories where there is little wall space for radiators and a quick heat up time is often required
  • To enable under floor heating to be installed in existing houses, rooms, kitchens and conservatories we use a unique overlay system that can be attached to an existing wet central heating system. Type your paragraph here.

If you are developing a building from scratch, our under floor heating options are most suitable. Laid directly onto pre-installed foam or polystyrene type insulation during installation, they meet all relevant building regulations.

Over Floor Heating

Whether new build, renovation or home extension, our underfloor heating systems provide a robust, reliable solution for any room in every home. In fact, we offer the widest available range of underfloor heating systems with a product available for every conceivable floor type or residential heating project.

Over Floor Heating

Its popularity is growing as underfloor central heating means no radiators - clear walls not spoiled by unsightly radiators and usable wall space not interrupted by space consuming radiators. Often the interior decoration and layout of a whole room is determined by the sighting of radiators.

  • Comfort – a correctly designed and installed system runs efficiently and supports the body’s natural requirements for warm feet and cool head. The heat is uniformly rising from the floor rather than having warm pockets around radiators

  • Aesthetics – no radiators to get in the way of where you want to place your furniture
  • Silence – Underfloor Heating is virtually silent running
  • Low Maintenance – no need for manual operations such as bleeding radiators
  • Cost effective – lower water temperature means lower heating bills
  • Space – more space in the property as there are no radiators to get in the way
  • Individual room control – you control what temperature your rooms are heated to on an individual basis –                                     for example you can have your bedroom at a different temperature from your living room
  • Healthy living – less dust movement in the room, and floors will dry quicker after cleaning
  • Environment – lower fuel usage means lower CO2 emissions, better for the environment
